Both Dill Weed and Dill Seed come from the same plant, but the weed is made from dried leaves, whereas the seed is produced by the flowers. They can be used interchangeably in recipes where you want a piquant taste to set off your dishes' other ingredients. Add to sour cream-based sauces, mayonnaise-based dressings, salads and soups. Works well as a rub for meats or in sauces to accompany fish. Use in pickled cucumbers for a unique variety of "dill pickles", and in recipes for bread, potatoes and vegetables.
