Homemade Ketchup

1 cup tomato powder
3 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup honey (optional, leave out for sugar free or low carb version)
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons minced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fine grind pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground yellow mustard powder
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground coriander seeds


Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring often.  

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Mixture should be smooth. You may use an inversion blender if you desire it even smoother. I like to add a pinch of cayenne for a little extra zip!
