This fragrant Apple Cider Sangria is a beautiful cocktail that’s perfect for fall. Serve this seasonal crowd pleaser at your next holiday party. It makes entertaining easy as you can have several pitchers at the ready and guests can serve themselves quite easily. Additionally, a large beverage server on a sideboard makes a beautiful seasonal display.
1 bottle dry white wine such as Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio
2 cups apple cider, plus 2 tablespoons reserved
24 ounces ginger beer
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 apples sliced or diced your choice, peels on
1 tablespoon Mulling Spice Blend in muslin bag, disposable tea bag or tied in cheesecloth
1 cup frozen cranberries
¼ cup Cinnamon Sugar, pulsed fine in blender as a glass rimmer
In a large pitcher, stir together wine, apple cider, ginger beer and lemon juice. Add apples and mulling spice bag. Let sit for 2 hours or up to overnight.
On one small plate pour reserved apple cider, on second plate spread out the cinnamon sugar. Wet the edge of serving glass in apple cider and then dip edge in cinnamon sugar to rim the glass.
Remove mulling spice bag from pitcher, add frozen cranberries and serve sangria over ice in garnished glass.
